The Inland Heart Chapter 123 is one of approximately 260 nationwide
chapters of The Mended Hearts, Inc. We are located in San Bernardino, CA,
about 50 miles east of Los Angeles. We meet at St. Bernardine Medical
Center where we have enjoyed a mutually beneficial relationship since February
14, 1982. |
| A Monthly Meeting |

| Our membership is eclectic. Some live in the mountains, some survive
in either the high or the low desert, while most of us live in the San
Bernardino Valley where we have easy access to both. In addition, we can
cruise to the ocean in 1.5 hours or visit Mickey and Minnie at their West
Coast home in about 45 minutes on LA's smoothly flowing freeway system.

What do we do? We enjoy friendship, support and an occasional fruit
platter on the first Wednesday of the month at 3:00 pm. Thanks to our good
friends at St Bernardine's Cardiac Rehab, we also enjoy speakers from the
local area on many different topics. Most involve information on maintaining
a healthy lifestyle, but we have other needs as well. (One April, during
Earthquake Preparedness Month, our guest speaker was the San Bernardino
County Chief of Emergency Services. Shortly after beginning his talk on
earthquake preparedness, we felt his 3.5-on-the-Richter-Scale attention
step. WE LISTENED!) |
